A smart, graceful and stylish rural holiday home apartment, in the interior of Alentejo, integrated in a farm, where guests may taste the agrarian atmosphere of the past within a renovated ambiance of a contemporary family home and enjoy the scenario of rural life in all its richness including the opportunity to taste locally produced Alentejo wine.
In Castelo de Vide, near Marvão and Portalegre, this supreme haven of tranquillity is the guarantee of complete restfulness providing its guests a wonderful stay in total communion with nature.
The main house was built in the 30s by the engineer Custódio Neves, who was a pioneer in the area of electricity in Portugal, and was inspired by the sketch of the famous architect Cassiano Branco, responsible for the first water power plant with a reservoir in Portugal. Outside, this separate apartment, with three bedrooms, each with en suite private bathroom, an immensely welcoming kitchen, well-equipped for family catering, and a fine living and dining area, an ancient cork tree provides a shady refuge for the hotter parts of the day.
Serene pathways for horse riding, cycling or just walking are some of the available leisure activities, completed by a mini golf, a tennis court, and a wonderful shared swimming pool, extending a lazy invitation for a swim in the sunshine and graced by a variety of open and shaded terraces, all available to guests.
In addition, other villages are easy to reach through the property´s location. A small shop with basic items lies a mere 10 minutes drive from the house, although the country road that winds its way past the side of the house provides easy access to the nearest town with a long established reputation as a gastronomic and historical centre.
