Located in the village of Facha, in the Ponte de Lima municipality, this holiday refugee is integrated within a farm estate, headed by a secular manor house, nested in the valley between Monte da Nó and Castelo, amidst ancient imposing chestnut trees. To the west the chapel of Senhora da Rocha and the Castro of Santo Estevão complete its magic scenery.
The main house was reconstructed according to its traditional architecture, and refurbished bringing old and new elements in contrast.
Guided by the same philosophy and set upon the structure of an ancient tower that existed on the same spot, this country refugee is a splendid example of how it is possible to integrate modern architecture, with all its pulses, in a space where history fills your senses at every step. This soignée and modern holiday refugee is decorated with pieces of contemporary design by Alvar Aalto, encompassing two tastefully decorated contemporary bedrooms, with en suite private bathroom, a very well-equipped kitchenette and a gorgeous living room, being equipped with TV, air conditioning and central heating.
The property includes a solarium, chapel, a private swimming pool with ladder, playground, tennis court, gymnasium, an old water-mill, a pavilion perfect for meetings, seminars or parties, surrounded by pleasant gardens with colorful flowerbeds, extensive lawns, covered and open terraces, all available to guests.
Amenities may be found in the village shop nearby, that sells basic items. However, the gorgeous town of Ponte de Lima, at approximately 10 minutes drive, congregates a wealth of shops and restaurants and unexpected captivating attractions.
